More and more responses

Jo En now already full 3 months old. When we talk and play with her, she knows to response and smile, sometime will 'talk' to us as well^-^ Then husband will quickily take out the camera or video camera to capture these moments. (But it will not work if she is hungry or sleepy!)

My Little Castle!

Jo En received 2 play gym from my friends. She likes it very much, look at the colorful toys, and talk to the elephant and bear bear :> (One of the castle can located at nanny house)

Applying for PR

This morning we bring Jo En to ICA to apply for PR. The process took about 49 minutes only, short waiting time, improved compared with last few years. Heard that nowadays PR application need to make appointment online. So far the Jo En' photos for applying passport and PR are taken by daddy. Husband put on the shirt (blue and white color) at behind, then modify using photoshop, not bad, looks very professional ler hehe... When we compared the photo taken at 2 weeks old and current one, suprisingly they looks so different! Kids grow up very fast, must capture their changes very often....

Go outing at Bedok Reservor

2 months + 3 weeks, together with mother in law, we go Bedok Reservor picnic, windy and good weather ^-^ This year Valentine Day no longer '2 person world', got little one accompany us :p
After picnic, we go Giant and Courts shopping. Tired day for Jo En hehe...

2 months later..

It was a long long time I did not update my blog. Baby and I went to my sister house at Rawang (Malaysia) just right after confinement. I extended my maternity leave to 10 more days which cross Chinese New Year. Now, I already back to workstation.

Time is flying. For me, pregnancy is a pleasure experience. But for confinement, I would say it is not easy to cope with. During the first few days after delivery (go back home after 3 days staying at hospital), I felt so messy in term of mood and environment. A lot of things I can’t help much because I was still very weak. For new born baby, most of the time was sleeping and drink milk. Small baby always has one expression: cry when they are hungry. After drink milk, fall into sleep. So don’t expect during confinement month baby will smile and play with you (this was what I expect before delivery haha…).

During confinement month, my mother in law cooked a lot of food with ginger and wine for me. So I sweat a lot even during December cool month (day and night). Not easy to sleep well with the sweating body, smelly hair and heavy belly haha…Another challenges was breastfeeding, especially in the first 2 weeks. Baby easy to get irritating as milk supply is not much and I had no experience in handling this. Fortunately after 2 weeks baby can suck well and manage to maintain it. Even though breastfeeding is tiring and tension, but many people commented breastfeeding baby is more healthier. So I will maintain and continue as long as I can.

It is a big relief by end of confinement month, can eat more kind of food and go out shopping. Jo En likes shopping very much, we bring her along go shopping to buy new year shirt! When stepped into 2nd month, Jo En learnt to smile, when we talked and play with her, she will respond and smile. My lovely niece Ming Min (6 years old) likes to talk with Jo En, she helped to take care of her (put back the Chut-Chut when Jo En cry ^-^).

After come back from Chinese New Year, everything back to normal. Go back to work in the morning, rushing home to see and play with our little one. Currently my mother in law stay with us and look after Jo En for another 2 months. We are going to look for nanny again.

Parenting journey just started. Wish everything goes smooth, most important is, Jo En grow up happily and healthy ^-^
